
Mark Goldburd
Mark Goldburd is a principal with Milliman’s New York Property & Casualty Practice. He provides actuarial consulting services to insurance companies and other risk-bearing organizations, with a focus on pricing, reserving, predictive analytics, and the use of advanced data and technology in actuarial work. He joined the firm in August 2014.
Experience
Mark has extensive experience analyzing commercial casualty lines, including general liability, commercial auto, workers’ compensation, excess and umbrella liability, and specialty risks. His work includes loss reserving, pricing analyses, predictive modeling, development of actuarial rate plans and rating tools, and analysis of large and complex datasets.
Mark has a particular expertise in applying modern analytical methods to traditional actuarial problems, including generalized linear models, machine learning, automation, and generative AI. Within Milliman, he has helped develop tools and processes that make greater use of granular policy and claim data and has been active in efforts to expand the use of AI and advanced analytics.
Prior to joining Milliman, Mark worked at ISO, where he was involved in commercial insurance pricing and actuarial research.
